Humphries Ranch beehives under a live oak tree in the Texas Hill Country

About the Ranch

Small Hands, Wild Honey

Humphries Ranch sits in the Texas Hill Country, where limestone hills meet live oak motts and bluebonnet meadows. We keep a small apiary of honey bees who forage on native wildflowers, huajillo, and seasonal blooms across our property.

Our honey is raw, unfiltered, and unpasteurized. We harvest in small batches, strain once to remove wax particles, and pour straight into jars. Nothing is added, nothing taken away.

What's in a Texas wildflower honey

The flavor shifts subtly with the season. Spring honey tends to be light and floral from bluebonnet and cat claw acacia. Summer brings darker, more robust honey from mesquite and Indian blanket. What you'll taste in any jar is a snapshot of what was blooming that month.

Our approach to the hives

We prioritize bee health over volume. That means leaving enough honey for winter stores, minimizing hive disruption, and avoiding synthetic miticides where possible. Happy bees make better honey — we believe it, and we think you'll taste it.
